Spring Chaos

Spring Chaos is an artwork in the shape of a disk, 35 cm diameter, painted light blue and the depth is about 10 cm.
In the middle I mounted a disk of 14 cm diameter. This disk has been painted yellow, and depicts the sun.
Below this yellow disk 8 LED lamps have been mounted that give an indirect lighting.
This artwork has been designed with many different materials, like thick nylon wires, thin fluo fishing wires, various PVC wires and thin plastic foil from which leaves have been cut.
In this entire artwork pieces of amber have been placed to create a beautiful effect.
On the edge of the big disk LED diodes have been placed covered by white nylon bundles of thermically shaped fishing wire.
On the back of this artwork are electric wires connected to an adaptor (12 volt to 230 volt)
The combination of all coloured wires with the LED lights give a splendid light effect.
This artwork can be used with or without lights.
Remarks: The picture of this work has been made in daylight, so that the light effect is not really visible. In a dark environment the lights are beautiful.
This artwork is meant for hanging on the wall.
THe original  was made in July 2023, but improved in August 2024.

 

Title: Never Again

My inspiration for this artwork came from the 2 atom bombs that exploded in Japan in 1945. A great tragedy in human history that has never been forgotten. I would like to draw the attention with a question: what would happen if this tragedy was repeated in the present time? This artwork has been made using all my experience up till now. I have worked intensively for the last few months to finish this work. To reach optimal result I have installed a few dozens LED diodes in different colours. These diodes are mounted beneath the nylon and PVC bundles. To reach optimal result was very difficult. During the process I made variuos mistakes that I had to solve. On the back of the disk I connected all diodes with electric wires. I am very proud of myself that I finished this artwork. This is my biggest artwork up till now

The pictures of my two designs, The Refugees and Never Again, I made myself. The pictures are not optimal. To reach the optimal colours of the works I would need to have pictures made by a professional foto studio. As this is very costly I decided to make the pictures myself.
